The limit tracks actual video watch time only. The timer updates every 10 seconds to save your browser's resources.

Important: Browsing the YouTube home page or search results does not count towards your limit. The countdown only starts when a video is playing.

Traditional blacklists are ineffective because millions of new videos are uploaded to YouTube daily. It's impossible to block them all.

The Whitelist approach is 100% safe: it blocks everything by default and only allows channels you have personally approved. This creates a "walled garden" for your child, ensuring zero exposure to unwanted content.

Our extension performs deep DOM-analysis to ensure only approved content is shown. On some devices, it may take a fraction of a second to identify and hide non-whitelisted videos during page load. This is a normal part of the video filtering process.

• Filtering Delay: If you import less than 50% of your subscriptions, the filtering process may take longer, and non-approved videos might flicker before being hidden.
• Recommendation: For a seamless experience, we recommend importing 80-100% (the majority) of your subscribed channels.
• Optimization tips: To keep the filter fast, we suggest unsubscribing from unnecessary channels or creating a separate YouTube account specifically for your child.

Chrome does not allow extensions to block their own removal for security reasons. However, parents can enforce protection using Windows Group Policies:

1. Run PowerShell as Administrator.
2. Use a specific script (available in our detailed guide) to add the Extension ID to the ExtensionInstallForcelist registry key.
3. Once added, the "Remove" button in Chrome will be disabled, and the extension can only be uninstalled by an Administrator.

Note: This is an advanced step for maximum security.

Google Chrome often hides new extensions under the "puzzle" icon.

1. Click the Puzzle icon (🧩) in the top right corner.
2. Find YouTube Parental Controls.
3. Click the Pin (📌) icon to keep your controls and timer visible at all times.
